venezuela, here i come

nowadays oil price is getting down. lower every day making some oil companies are re-thinking what they will do with the oil production..

major oil companies had already slowed down their production and plans on making new refinaries and development...

major oil companies had suspended their future projects that makes my employer a bit "shakey" right now...aramco, kuwait national oil, abu dhabi gas, iran oil comp, qatar gas, pertamina, petronas and so on....are reconsidering and recalculating their "untung" in new projects.

before this, crude oil and processed oils base products (gasoline, naphta, tar, sulfur, ethylene, propylene, and so on) are in big demand but now the demands are getting lower.

why?...becoz they dont want to sell now and they are waiting the oil price to go up again.

some speculations said after obama take the chair, then economy will become ok and oil will raise again...but some say it will be the same for abt 18 months..

either way, for me its the same. still i dont have any future projects coming and my employer also are a bit rough right now.

u dont have the luxury to pick and choose right now...as before u can pick and choose where u want to be posted. but now, u have either qatar, saudi, sulawesi and venezuela.

qatar, cost plus project...depend on the client if they approve me, ill go. but i dont think so coz my man hour rate is high..

saudi, will start only after 10 months from now..dont know what will happened to me that time

sulawesi, nice place and environment..plus i can converse in local language..but i dont think ill be going...dont have any reasons but i dont have the feeling that i can be stationed there

venezuela, just heard from a reliable source that i will be stationed there....bidding final stage and client will reward the contract to us..probably after 5 months from now, ground work will start.

its a big, i mean huge...do u now that venezuela is the second largest oil exporter?..and they have a huge amount of oil under their lands..

project summary?..its abt 5 bil project..twice from my pj now..it will take abt 4 years to complete. mine is only 2.5 years to complete...

place?..1000km from nearest town...and located at the rebellion side of the country..

meaning if i go to the nearest town...they will think im government spy..and they will shoot me dead.. haha..nice uh..

the camp will be highly secured area, protected by the army...

have no where to go except inside camp..probably will be working 7 days a week..nothing to do better to work.

90 / 15 days schedule.....still thinking what route i will take to go there..via peru?..via france? i dont know...

hmm...networking and communication..i dont know how ill get to reach the world..haha..

anyhow, if its confirmed, ull definately will know.
